Modest Vengust, DVM, DVSc, PhD, DACVIM (LA), DACVSMR (Equine), DECEIM

Dr. Modest Vengust studied at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he is also a professor of clinical veterinary studies. He completed a residency programme in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Guelph and postgraduate studies at the University of Guelph, Canada, and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala, Sweden. He is board-certified by the ACVIM(LA), ACVSMR (Equine ) and ECEIM.
Dr. Vengust is involved in all aspects of large animal internal medicine and has special clinical and research interests in cardiopulmonary physiology, overreaching and overtraining. His recent equine studies have focused on regenerative therapies for equine obstructive pulmonary disease and physiological and pathological adaptations of the pulmonary circulation.
