Dr. Paul Morley is an epidemiologist, animal scientist, and veterinary internal medicine specialist that studies infectious diseases affecting animals and people. His research uses metagenomic methods to investigate the effects of agriculture production practices on antimicrobial resistance and microbial ecology as these affect human, animal, and ecosystem health. Dr. Morley is the Sally Rau McIntosh Endowed Chair and University Distinguished Professor at Texas A&M University. Additionally, he serves as the Director of Research for VERO Program at the Texas A&M University’s School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Previously, Dr. Morley served for 20 years as Professor of Epidemiology and the Director of Infection Control at Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
