Professor Corcoran graduated from the Veterinary College of Ireland in 1981. He currently holds a Personal Chair in Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Medicine a the University of Edinburgh. His clinical and research interests are in respiratory medicine and cardiology, with particular emphasis on the pathobiology of canine myxomatous mitral valve disease and clinical diagnosis of canine idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
