Dr. Kevin Phipps grew up in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. He completed his rotating surgical/medicine internship, cardiology specialty internship, and three-year cardiology residency all at VCA West Los Angeles. He received board certification at the end of his residency in 2022, then accepted a position to stay on as a staff cardiologist at VCA West LA. Dr. Phipps' clinical interests include interventional treatment of complex congenital and acquired heart diseases, emergency treatment of heart failure, and forming longtime relationships with animals and their owners.
