Dr. Stacie Summers is a board-certified specialist in small animal internal medicine and assistant professor at Oregon State University. She graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2013. She completed a rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Veterinary Specialists in Colorado and continued her education in a feline infectious disease research fellowship at Colorado State University with the Center of Companion Animal Studies. After her fellowship, she completed a residency and a Ph.D. at CSU. Her Ph.D. work was on novel etiologies and the role of the gut microbiome in cats with chronic kidney disease. Her research focus is on feline medicine, urology, and the microbiome.
