Bruna Correa Lopes, DVM, MS (she/her/hers)

Bruna Correa Lopes earned her Veterinary Degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS - Brazil) in 2018. From 2013 to 2018, she completed an internship in the Laboratory of Veterinary Bacteriology (LABACVET-UFRGS) and another internship in the Laboratory of Veterinary Pathology (SPV-UFRGS). In 2021, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and Desidério Finamor Veterinary Research Institute with a main focus on Veterinary Bacteriology and Infectious Diseases. In 2021, Bruna was accepted by Texas A&M University to pursue a Ph.D. in the Gastroenterology Laboratory. Her Ph.D. will be focused on the relationship between anaerobic bacteria and gastrointestinal diseases in dogs and cats.
