Sarifa Lakhdhir, DVM (she/her/hers)

Cardiology Resident

Sarifa Lakhdhir is originally from Calgary and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Calgary in 2018. Throughout veterinary school, she participated in several veterinary service-learning trips, including trips to Kenya, India, and northern Canada. Following graduation, Sarifa completed a one-year rotating internship at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. She then spent the following year completing a cardiology specialty internship at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group (VERG) in Brooklyn, NY. She is now in the final year of her cardiology residency and Master of Science program at the Atlantic Veterinary College.
