Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine

Graduated 1994 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Assiut University with honours, and was appointed immediately as a veterinary internal medicine resident. Studied for PhD at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Bristol.Obtained a Doctorate of Philosophy in 2002. My research interest has always been mucosal immunology based and more recently developed an interest in the intestinal microbiome. Collaborated with many accomplished researchers at the University of Bristol and returned for multiple postdoctoral positions over the years. Was the first Lecturer in Egypt to work and research to the field of Small Animal Medicine and gained a Chair as a Professor in year 2013. Was chosen to be a member of the national committee for biological scientists in Egypt.
