Dr Creighton completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2006. After working in general practice in Sydney, she move to North America and completed a rotating internship at Ontario Veterinary College, Canada then an emergency and critical care residency at Michigan State University. She become a Diplomate of the American College of Emergency and Critical Care in 2014. After practising as a criticalist in both academic and private specialty hospitals she started a nephrology and urology fellowship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington DC in 2021.
