Cardiology Resident

Dr. Rivera is a third year cardiology resident at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital. Dr. Rivera graduated from veterinary school at The Ohio State University and went on to do a a rotating internship at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, followed by an emergency and critical care internship at North Carolina State University. He is originally from Puerto Rico. His research interests include vascular function in heart failure and therapies to target endothelial dysfunction.
