Resident I - Small Animal Internal Medicine
Purdue University
I am currently a first-year resident in small animal internal medicine at Purdue University.
During my last year of veterinary school, to further strengthen my VIRMP application, I rotated through 4 different US veterinary schools over 6 months (1 month of surgery at OSU, 1 month of Oncology at CSU, 1 month of ECC at UPenn, and 3 months of cardiology, neurology, internal medicine, and necropsy at UC Davis). I also spent 6 weeks at the veterinary school of the University of Edinburgh in Scotland (3 weeks in cardiology and 3 weeks in oncology).
Following my rotating internship, I completed three specialty internships in small animal internal medicine and interventional radiology/endoscopy (United States and United Kingdom). Those positions further strengthened my wish to do a small animal internal medicine residency and become a faculty.
