DVM from Washington State University, Small Animal internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, residency at Colorado State University. While at Colorado State University, she earned her PhD degree in the Department of Physiology, and then completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Nutrition and Lipid Metabolism at The Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, Oregon.
