Presentation Description / Summary: This presentation will cover the pathophysiology of a PDA. Physical examination and diagnostic work up, including common radiographic and echocardiogram findings, to properly diagnose a patent ductus arteriosus. The lecture will end with treatment options available with case examples.

  • 1. How to identify clinical signs and physical examination findings of a PDA.
  • 2. Ability to identify a PDA on echocardiogram and identify cardiac changes secondary to PDA.
