Presentation Description / Summary: In this presentation, we will go through a brief history of three-dimensional echocardiography in the veterinary field, quickly summarize published literature, and then focus most of the lecture on the technical aspects of three-dimensional echocardiographic acquisition in dogs/cats. Particularly, we will focus on the added value of post-processing three-dimensional datasets for obtaining a multitude of very diverse information from the same dataset.
Learning Objectives:
Learn the equipment necessary for acquiring useful three-dimensional datasets
Learn how to properly acquire a three-dimensional dataset, best settings, and practices
Learn available packages for off-line analysis of acquired images
