Presentation Description / Summary: Gabapentin has become popular as a medication prescribed to reduce stress and improve compliance in feline patients during veterinary visits. However this dose may be inappropriate for elderly cats, specifically those with CKD as gabapentin is cleared only by renal excretion. This session will review our current state of knowledge and present new data to help inform how gabapentin dosing should be altered in this patient population.
