Presentation Description / Summary: The aim of this session is to investigate the options and evidence for management of equine gastro-intestinal conditions such as gastric disease, chronic diarrhea, recurrent colic and weight loss with dietary manipulation and supplements and the impact that this products may have on gut health and the microbiome. Comparative knowledge, particularly from humans and dogs will be utilized to illustrate other options that may be applicable. The session will be illustrated with case examples where these changes have been impactful.

Learner Outcomes: 1 Analyze the evidence available for the management of a variety of equine gastro-intestinal conditions using dietary manipulation and supplements. 2. Synthesize additional options in data from humans and dogs with chronic GI conditions
