Rivaroxaban vs Clopidogrel in Cats with Cardiogenic Thromboembolism: SUPERCAT Study

Presentation Description / Summary: This lecture will summarize the key findings from the SUPERCAT study, which aimed to compare rivaroxaban to clopidogrel for prevention of secondary thromboembolic disease in cats that had experienced a cardiogenic thromboembolism. Features such as population characteristics, echocardiographic findings and survival will be discussed, specifically related to the population of the study. Additionally, characteristics of both drugs (rivaroxaban and clopidogrel) will be reviewed, in the discussion of the rationale of the study.
