Session description:


In this session the Guidelines initiative by the ENOVAT network will be presented. The evidence base for antimicrobial use in canine acute diarrhea will be appraised and the recommendations from the ENOVAT Canine Acute Diarrhea panel will be presented.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, participants will have knowledge of the ENOVAT guidelines on antimicrobial use in canine acute diarrhea, and, be able to describe the certainty of evidence and rationale supporting the recommendations.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to define dogs with acute diarrhea according to the severity of disease.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the GRADE methodology and framework as applied by the ENOVAT guidelines drafting group.
