Doctor in Veterinary Medicine at Universidade Federal Fluminense in 2002. Master of Science degree at Universidade Federal Fluminense in 2004. PhD in Veterinary Sciences at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 2011. Worked as a Feline Practitioner at Clínica Veterinária Gatos & Gatos Vet from 2002 to 2004 and at Clínica Veterinária Green Cross from 2006 to 2010. Has done Internship at Alamo Feline Health Center, Texas, with Dr. Gary Norsworthy in 2006 and 2018. Also started to teach Feline Medicine to post graduation students at Instituto Qualittas de Pós-gradução, from 2005 to 2011. Is a founding member of the Brazilian Academy of Feline Clinicians (ABFel) since 2007 and its actual President. Has clinical and teaching experience in Feline Medicine, as a practitioner, national speaker and professor. Is an author of national and international articles, books and chapters on Feline Medicine. Currently, is an Associate Professor of the Department of Animal Medicine, acting in the classes of Feline Medicine of Graduation and Post-Graduation Programs, also a Researcher and Master's and PhD advisor from the Post-Graduation Program in Veterinary Sciences, Substitute Coordinator of the Veterinary Research Commission of UFRGS, Head of the Feline Medicine Service of the Veterinary Clinics Hospital and Coordinator of the Specialization Course in Feline Medicine at UFRGS. Was a Deputy Director of the Veterinary Clinics Hospital from 2012 to 2014 and Coordinator of the Graduation in Veterinary Medicine Program from 2017 to 2018 at the same University.
