Amina has completed her Bachelors of Science (honours), majoring in Biomedical Science, at the University of Guelph. Now, she is continuing her education as a graduate student, pursuing her masters degree in Clinical Studies, also at the University of Guelph. She is working with Doctor Diego Gomez on a project regarding incretin hormones in horses with colitis versus healthy horses. Therefore, she has an interest in endocrinology and how the levels of incretin hormones are altered during sickness.
