Katarzyna Dembek, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (she/her/hers)

Dr. Katarzyna Dembek received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Warsaw University (Poland) in 2005. She completed a one-year equine internship at Lisadell Equine Hospital (Ireland). Then she moved to Saudi Arabia for 3 years where she worked in private equine practice. In 2012, Dr. Dembek completed a combined Equine Internal Medicine Residency and Master of Science training program at The Ohio State University. The same year Dr. Dembek began a PhD training program in equine endocrinology at OSU. In 2016, Dr. Dembek moved to Iowa, where she worked as an assistant professor in Equine Medicine at Iowa State University until joining the equine medicine team at North Carolina State University in 2020.
