Changing the way cancer is fundamentally treated.
About us
ELIAS Animal Health is elevating the hope of veterinarians and pet owners alike by changing the way cancer is fundamentally treated. Our approach is profoundly simple: Every canine patient is unique. Every cancer is unique. To ultimately win against this devastating killer, cancer therapy itself must also be unique. The ELIAS Cancer Immunotherapy (ECI®) works by conditioning the immune system to recognize a patient’s unique cancer, and then delivering an army of activated killer T cells to specifically target and attack those cancer cells. T Cell Immunotherapy for Canine Cancer At ELIAS Animal Health, we are pioneering a novel approach to combat canine cancer with our ELIAS Cancer Immunotherapy (ECI®), an adoptive T cell therapy that stimulates a patient’s immune system to recognize and attack cancers. ECI® uses a personalized vaccine made from a patient’s own cancer cells to “prime” the immune cells to recognize the cancer. These primed immune cells—which are collected from the patient through a procedure called apheresis—are activated and expanded 𝘦𝘹 𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘰 for reinfusion into the patient, where they travel to the cancer cells and attack them. Our commitment to advancing veterinary medicine through cutting-edge therapies like ECI® demonstrates our dedication to improving the lives of pets and comforting their owners. Join us on this journey to redefine cancer treatment in veterinary care. #VeterinaryOncology #CanineCancer #InnovativeTherapy #TCellImmunotherapy #ELIAS

Question: How does ECI® work? Answer: Cancer has many ways to hide from the patient’s immune system, which prevents the immune system from eliminating it. The ELIAS Cancer Immunotherapy (ECI®) works by stimulating the patient’s immune system to recognize cancer cells as “foreign” and subsequently eliminate them. #ELIAS #ECI #Cancer #CanineCancer #CancerTreatment #CureCancer

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) Center for Cancer Research recently highlighted the value of learning from our pets' experiences with cancer in its “Milestones 2024” report. One article discussed how understanding the similarities between human and canine osteosarcoma can provide valuable insights and accelerate progress on both sides. ELIAS was founded to expand and accelerate the progress already made in fighting human cancers by applying the technology to fight cancer in dogs and other companion animals through strategic collaborations with human health companies. One notable collaboration was TVAX Biomedical, Inc.'s FDA Fast Track Designation, in which the efficacy and safety data from ELIAS’s canine osteosarcoma pilot study was an important component of the Fast Track application. #comparativeoncology
