At Ethos, we are thankful for ongoing collaboration and the highest levels of evidence-based medical care for improved patient outcomes. For this flamingo, it is life changing. 🦩 ... Several months ago a flamingo presented to Upstate Vet Greenville by Greenville Zoo and was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. He received multiple rounds of radiation therapy to shrink the tumor and surgery to remove the remaining tumor tissue. Thanks to the hard work of the team of specialists at Upstate Vet and the keeper team at Greenville Zoo, the wing has healed with no sign of the tumor. He is cancer-free! Greenville Zoo's keeper team will monitor the flamingo as he gets reacquainted with his lagoon and feathered friends. He’ll continue to receive regular checkups to ensure he remains cancer-free.
