It’s been a whole week since I got home from WVC and my head is still spinning! Getting to share such huge news with the veterinary community was an absolute honor, and it was almost too much good news to handle! I was absolutely thrilled to present the clinical validation of our lower-cost cancer screening test OncoK9 Screen, interim results of our lifetime screening study CLASSiC, and a panel discussion with three incredible panelists whose practice and lives have been changed by OncoK9. Hearing the real world impact this test is making had our audience in tears right along with our panelists. What a gift to get to share this message. Thank you to everyone that came to hear about liquid biopsy, and a huge shoutout to Angelo Marco, DVM, Amanda Brehm, and Tracy Kerns.

The correct answer is false! Many cancers are actually not detected with a wellness exam in asymptomatic dogs, and are only found after dogs are sick or showing clinical signs, at which point treatment options are often more limited. In fact, in a study involving dogs with cancer, only 4% had their cancer detected during a wellness visit. However, when added to a dog's annual or biannual wellness visit, OncoK9®Screen can help find cancer that may be difficult to detect by a wellness exam alone. In a separate study, around 70% of dogs with cancer types that may be difficult to detect on wellness exam were detected by OncoK9®Screen. OncoK9®Screen is a blood test that uses DNA to detect cancer in dogs even before the onset of clinical signs, which could lead to a better quality of life and a chance at improved outcomes for your patients.
