The Hill's Disaster Relief Network is a direct extension of the Hill's Food, Shelter & Love program with a mission to provide free nutritional support for pets and pet families impacted by disaster. We partner with shelters, veterinary clinics, state-government entities and national non-profits responding to the needs of pets in communities hit hard by disaster. We are currently providing disaster relief support for the floods in Texas and tornadoes in Oklahoma. If your shelter is responding to a disaster in your community, please reach out to us at disasterrelief@hillspet.com to apply for support. Shelters do not need to be official members of the Hill's Food, Shelter & Love program to apply for nutritional assistance in response to emergencies. https://lnkd.in/gcwbpqDY

We’re excited to announce today the launch of our new shopping platform, shop.hillspet.com, and a new donation program that will benefit shelter partners of the Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love program and leading animal welfare organizations. For every purchase of Hill’s Science Diet through our new site, we will donate $1 to a participating animal shelter of the shopper’s choosing. We are proud of this new method to extend our Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love program’s 22-year commitment to supporting animal welfare efforts with 100% of all donations going directly to shelter’s life-changing work helping homeless pets in need. Shoppers have the option to add their own donation amount to further support the participating shelter of their choice. 💥 SHELTER SPOTLIGHT: Some pets take longer to find a home for many reasons. Meet Ciara, who was Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA's longest resident at 750 days, largely in part to having a persistent skin disease. To help remove a barrier to adoption, Hill's quickly jumped at the shelter's idea to provide a year's worth of a Hill's Prescription Diet food designed to help support Ciara's health needs. This action builds on our always-on feeding program to help support more than 900 shelters and the pets in their care. Veterinary professionals are at the heart of our business at Hill’s, just as other medical professionals (dermatologists, aestheticians and dental professionals) are core to the success of other business units across the broader Colgate-Palmolive organization.  Earlier this week, our US Chief Veterinary Officer Karen Shenoy, DVM joined other Colgate-Palmolive colleagues, Emily Rowan and Rob Wilson, representing the PCA SKIN and Colgate-Palmolive Enterprise Oral Care teams, for a panel discussion led by Anne-Marie Motte, during a company-wide webcast. At the quarterly all-employee meeting, hosted by CP Chairman and CEO Noel Wallace, Dr. Shenoy discussed the role of the Professional and Veterinary Affairs team at Hill’s and shared insights around how we partner with the veterinary profession.   On the heels of World Veterinary Day, we are grateful for yet another opportunity to showcase the important role veterinary professionals play within the Hill’s organization, and beyond, in supporting pet health!

What an incredible National Bring Your Child to Work Day at Hill's last week! We loved sharing the magic of our work with the next generation. The kids had a blast exploring STEM careers and discovering the fascinating world of how pet food is developed at our Pet Nutrition Center (PNC) in Topeka, Kan. Our day started with an exciting tour of our facility, where we got up close with our pet partners and learned how we care for them like family. From there, the kids dove into the creative side of things, crafting marketing campaigns for new pet foods—talk about innovation in action and so many other activities along the way! A big thank you to the PNC team, our Hill's employee resources groups and volunteers for making the day possible. Inspiring the next generation and sparking their interest in STEM and pet nutrition is truly rewarding.

Today, on National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, we celebrate the joy and love that shelter pets bring into our lives. 🐾   Animal shelters like Great Plains SPCA play a critical role in our communities, providing refuge and care for homeless animals in need. As shelters continue to face challenges from limited resources to navigating overcapacity issues and more, we are passionate about continuing our ongoing support of shelters and the pets in their care through our Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love program.
