Dr. Kristin Chaney is an associate professor and assistant dean for curriculum and assessment at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and received her DVM from Colorado State University. Her emphasis is on pre-clinical veterinary education and she has received numerous college and university teaching awards. Her published work in curriculum development is recognized nationally and internationally. Dr. Chaney's research focuses on veterinary education and novel educational modalities. As co-chair of the AAVMC’s Council for Outcomes-based Veterinary Education, she is a strong advocate for competency-based education.
