Born and raised in a small registered Holstein farm in south west Colombia. Graduated with a DVM in 2003 from the National University of Colombia. Practiced 4 years as a private dairy practitioner in Colombia. In 2007 moved to the US to purse an internship in food animal medicine and surgery at Kansas State University. In 2008 moved to Auburn University and completed a food animal internal medicine residency and PhD. From 2011 to 2015 I was a clinical instructor at Auburn University. In 2015 moved to Kansas State University as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Livestock Field Service. In 2019 returned to Auburn University and currently I am an Associate Professor of Food Animal Medicine.
