Presentation Description / Summary: Speaker will share tips on performing a cat-friendly neurological examination causing minimal stress and discomfort to our feline friends. She will use videos to demonstrate how to handle the feline patient with neurological deficits. Also discussed will be how to assess bladder function and management of urinary incontinence in neurological disease.

Learner Outcomes: Learn how to perform and interpret the feline neurological examination causing minimal stress and discomfort to the patient. Learn how to assess bladder function in cats with neurological disease. Learn how to manage urinary incontinence in neurologic felines.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, the participant will be able to perform the most essential parts of the feline neurological examination causing minimal stress and discomfort to the pet.
  • Upon completion, the participant will be able to interpret the results of the neurological examination in cats.
  • Upon completion, the participant will be able to assess bladder function in cats with neurological disease and manage urinary incontinence in neurologic felines.
